1. DO I NEED VISA TO STUDY IN AUSTRALIA?

Yes. To be granted a student visa you must complete a visa application form, lodge it with the evidence required, pay the application charge and satisfy the student visa requirements. You can be granted a student visa only if you intend to study a registered course on a full-time basis and comply with a number of visa conditions after you have entered Australia.


2. HOW CAN I GET STUDENT VISA IN AUSTRALIA?

To obtain a student visa in Australia you must enrol in a course for at least 12 weeks. We recommend you to enrol for minimum 16 weeks to ensure immigration approval. For further instructions please contact our friendly staff and check also “step by step” on our website.


3. WHAT KIND OF DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO PROVIDE TO OBTAIN STUDENT VISA?

It will depend on your country level. Please click here to find which level are you. In general you will need to provide: -Certified copies of passport or travel documents of all people included in the application -Completed a student visa application form 157A -The electronic Confirmation of Enrolment certificate and/or letter of offer issued by your education provider for the course you are undertaking -Visa application charge


4. WHAT IS OSHC?

OSHC – Overseas Student Health Cover is a compulsory health insurance for all international students. Cost of OSHC depends of length of your studies. For more information click on Health Insurance.


5. WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO THE HSA MEDICAL EXAMINATION?

You are required to bring the following items to your medical appointment:

• DIMA forms – completed as instructed by DIMA
• Current and valid passport of the person attending the medical examination
• Credit card used for the payment
• Payment receipt
• Eye glasses or contact lenses (if you wear eye glasses or contact lenses)
• Medical doctor reports (if you have any)


6. CAN I EXTEND MY STUDENT VISA?

Yes, there is no problem to do this but you need to meet all the requirements. We can help you to do this.


7. CAN I WORK IN AUSTRALIA WHILE I STUDY?

Yes. International students can work up to 20 hours a week during course time and full-time during vacation periods.


8. WHAT ARE THE MOST COMMON JOBS FOR STUDNETS?

The most common jobs are: waiter, cleaner, shop attendant, kitchen hand, cook, delivery boy, and construction. Childcare, aged care and housework in homes and offices are also very common.
